We believe Scouting plays a vital role in the physical, mental, and spiritual growth of our youth — especially in our highly technological world and urbanized Los Angeles community, where cultivating a connection to the natural world is more important than ever.
We're thrilled your family has joined Pack 223, or is considering it. We hope you and your child will have an incredible adventure with us right here in Pacific Palisades. Chartered by St. Matthew's Parish and part of the Western Los Angeles Area Council, Pack 223 thrives thanks to the dedication of our volunteer leaders and parents like you!
We all share the belief that Scouting builds confidence, kindness, leadership, and lifelong friendships through hands-on fun — weekly den meetings, monthly pack events, the Pinewood Derby, service projects, camping trips (including our favorite annual two-night overnight at Camp Emerald Bay), beach hikes along the Pacific Palisades coast, and exploring nearby Santa Monica Mountain trails. Together, we create safe, supportive experiences that help every scout unplug from screens, reconnect with nature, and grow strong in body, mind, and spirit.
